Standen New York is founded on the simple belief that unique objects create unique experiences. I've always loved to entertain family and friends, but a few years ago, I started to feel there was something missing from my table. I had my everyday white porcelain and my fine china sets for special occasions, but I wanted every meal - a weekday dinner as well as a holiday celebration - to be memorable. I started to search for stunning pieces that could be mixed together in playful ways. I realized that these objects already existed, and they were more beautiful, more individual, and much better crafted than anything I could imagine. What a waste that seemed. As my collection has grown, the results have given so much pleasure to my family and brought so much joy to our table. Now I'd like to share some of my finds with you. -Susan

A Note on Vintage

I carefully select every item, mindful of its condition. Some of the objects I find have never been used. Others have tiny imperfections and time-worn marks. To me, that is part of what makes a piece authentic and special.  These are items you can keep forever and I hope they will inspire you to start your own collection.
